Howliday Movie Guide 2017

Can you believe that there are just 13 days until Christmas?  I still have some shopping to finish, Christmas cards to write and fur babies to snuggle.  This is my absolute favorite time of the year.  I love getting to spend time with my family while the Christmas tree shines brightly in the background.

I am also obsessed with holiday movies, especially if they feature animals!  Below is my howliday movie guide for 2017.  From hilarious to heartwarming, these are films that the whole family is sure to enjoy.

From pop megastar, Mariah Carey; comes a brand new movie based on her hit Christmas classic "All I Want for Christmas is You."  The movie features a young Mariah who has become smitten with a pup named Princess.  She must prove that she is ready to handle a puppy by dog-sitting her uncle's unruly pooch, Jack.  Can Mariah get Jack under control in time to make her Christmas wish come true?  Bursting with colorful animation and brand new music from Carey, this is a movie not to be missed!

The Whitehaven's Christmas Eve becomes ruined when they discover that their dog, Rusty, has gone missing.  Convinced that Santa has taken their cuddly canine, the family heads to the North Pole to confront the man in red.  Could Santa really be a thief?  Containing new music from Dolly Parton and staring the phenomenal Ed Asner as Santa Claus, this festive film is sure to have tails wagging.

Murphy may appear to be a normal dog, however, he is anything but.  This pooch has telepathic abilities!  Chaos ensues when he escapes the government research lab where he is being held against his will be an evil scientist.  Thankfully, Murphy meets two brothers who are more than willing to help.  There's just one catch:  Their parents have forbidden them from having a pet!  Can the pair keep Murphy hidden from the government and their parents?  It's going to take a Christmas miracle!  Starring YouTube sensation Just Jesse the Jack as Murphy, this action-packed adventure will leave you breathless.

A young boy named Oliver discovers a litter of homeless Golden Retrievers.  He is determined to reunite the pups with their missing mother.  This proves to be quite a challenge when Oliver crosses paths with a pair of would-be bank robbers who have a secret of their own.  Will the puppies find their mother before Christmas?  With a cast of adorable "talking" pooches featuring the voice talents of Haylie Duff, this film is pawsitively irresistible!

It wouldn't be Christmas without this classic!  Charlie Brown is having trouble finding the meaning of Christmas.  All he can see is how commercial the holiday has become.  Friends share their extensive wish lists for presents.  Adults (and one very clever Beagle) compete to see who can festoon their houses with the most lights.  Lucy entrusts Charlie Brown's help in the annual Christmas pageant in hopes take his mind off of the holiday humdrum.  Will he be able to discover the real reason for the season?

From our furry family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
